Create and staff an order

From agreement to staffed schedule: create the order, add the shifts, and let Staffly sort candidates by trade and warn about rule breaches.

The order is where an agreement with a customer becomes actual shifts, hours and eventually an invoice.

Create the order

Choose the customer, set the period and describe the job. Prices from the customer carry over, but can be overridden on the individual order if you agreed something special.

Two settings on the order are worth noting straight away:

  • Time registration — Manual (start and end time) or Clocking (in/out). See How employees register hours.
  • Auto-approve hours — by default the customer approves the hours. Turn auto-approval on and they are approved without the customer's involvement.

Required trades

You can set required trades on the order, for example Svejsere › TIG. They are used to sort and filter the candidates, and there is a filter that shows only employees with the required trade.

Note: Required trades do not block. You can always assign an employee without the trade — Staffly helps you find the right people, but the decision is yours.

See Trades: find the right person fast.

Warnings when something does not fit

When you staff shifts in the planner, Staffly flags what looks wrong: overlapping shifts, too little rest, weekly hours above the contract or the limit, registered absence, a missing certificate, the wrong department or role.

When you cannot find anyone yourself

Instead of calling around, you can send the shift out as an offer to several people at once. See Offer a shift to several employees.
